Beloved #1 New York
Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with an unforgettable
love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.
Fallon meets
Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day of her scheduled cross-country move.
Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A.
together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben
has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various
relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they
continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon
becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a
perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
My Thoughts on the Book
Colleen Hoover loves to gut
you, heal you and gut you all over again and that is exactly what she
did for me and this book. It is beautiful, it is inspiring and will make
you cry. It is about growth and forgiveness and finding yourself and
love. At times you will hate one of the characters, maybe 2 but you will
love them too. Yes there is an HEA otherwise I would be curled up in a
corner rocking myself. Colleen Hoover can do no wrong.
Kricket Hollowell is
normally not one to wish upon stars; she believes they’re rarely in her
favor. Well versed at dodging caseworkers from Chicago’s foster care
system, the past few years on her own have made Kricket an expert at the
art of survival and blending in. With her 18th birthday fast
approaching, she dreams of the day when she can stop running and find
what her heart needs most: a home.
Trey Allairis hates Earth and
doubts that anyone from his world can thrive here. What he’s learning
of Kricket and her existence away from her true home only confirms his
theory. But, when he and Kricket lie together under the stars of Ethar,
counting them all may be easier than letting her go.
Kyon
Ensin’s secrets number the stars; he knows more about Kricket's gifts
than anyone and plans to possess her because of them. He also knows
she’s more valuable than any fire in the night sky. He’ll move the
heavens and align them all in order to make her his own.
When everything in their world can be broken, will Kricket rely upon love to save her under different stars?
My Thoughts on the Book
I received this book for
free at New York Comic Con of all places! Taking my son there had a
bonus for me too! When I heard Amy would be there I looked up her books
again and while I had not read any yet she was one my list so I was
excited to try a meet her. I am so happy I did and so happy I loved this
book. I don't usually read sci-fi but I do read YA, NA and Paranormal
to name a few genres. This fits perfectly into that group if you are all
concerned that sci-fi is not your thing. ( I actually like sci-fi a lot
but I tend to watch my sci-fi and not read it) but I digress, this is a
perfect coming of age meets hot alien meets powerful strong girl. There
is heart a humor and much more to come. On to the next book!
THE DARK ONES is the first installment in a brand new stand alone series by Rachel Van Dyken… This paranormal romance has Genesis questioning everything she has ever been taught as she comes face to face with the immortals. Don’t miss out on this sexy read!
To touch a Dark One is death.
To talk to an immortal is suicide.
Yet, I’ve been marked by both.
A Vampire.
And the King of the immortals.
My life is no longer my own.
And now I know the truth, my life was never mine to begin with.
Rachel Van Dyken is the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling author of regency and contemporary romances. When she’s not writing you can find her drinking coffee at Starbucks and plotting her next book while watching The Bachelor.
She keeps her home in Idaho with her Husband, adorable son, and two snoring boxers! She loves to hear from readers!

That’s me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean

We were from
different worlds. Our lives shouldn’t have collided. But then Cole

landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him.
From the start, I knew he was trouble. For our town. And for me.
Sometimes, opposites just aren’t meant to attract. My Thoughts on the Book
This
book is an absolute delight, if you have read her other books this is
nothing like them but still just a wonderful and well written. This is a
wonderful hate to love story with smart dialogue and witty responses.
The fact that a rooster is almost a supporting character is just
charming. I laughed a lot and cheered for both of them and well just
loved it!
Some
challenges in life seem too hard to overcome. With little money, and
even fewer options, the quick-witted and vibrant twenty-two-year-old
needs to reinvent herself. Known for her generous heart and impulsive
personality, she devises a survival plan, possibly her most outrageous
idea yet.
Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope.
Some
obstacles in life seem too hard to overcome. Betrayal definitely being
one of them. With limited capital, and dwindling resources, he is
attempting to resurrect his failing family vineyard, a self-imposed vow
seemingly destined to fail. That is until a young woman enters his
office with an outlandish, unexpected proposition impossible to refuse.
What
begins as a temporary business arrangement, soon evolves into more as
vivacious, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want
more from life. To want more for himself. But as their wills
clash and fiery passion ignites, they'll realize that sometimes the past
creates walls too difficult to climb, and that lies and deception
rarely precede a happily every after.
As Kira and Grayson race
toward their destiny, they will discover that some vows are meant to be
broken, and others are worth risking everything for . . . even your very
own heart.
My Thoughts on the Book
This
is a beautiful story with a modern day fairly tale twist to it.
Grayson has past he is not proud of and most if it is not his fault.
Kira has past she is trying to escape from. Together they help each
other, fight each other and love each other, this is a Mia Sheridan book
after all. Both of their pasts are revealed slowly but you can tell
from the very beginning that there is a lot more to each of them then
meets the eye. I laughed and many things in the book and cried too. In
the end I was very happy for them both!
After a devastating
blow, the VC Warriors find themselves fighting, but not an enemy they
can see. Their power and expertise alone cannot save the ones they love.
Breaking new and old laws, one Warrior is determined to save
his mate no matter the consequences, but will his mate agree to be his
downfall.
*DISCLOSURE* No Warrior or main character was seriously injured during the writing of this book. ;)
My Thoughts on the Book
This
book was much more then I expected it to be and that really surprised
me and a very good way. I was expecting a light fluffy hea story and I
was almost expecting a novella for some reason. This is not what I got
at all. Instead I got a very serious story line, more then one in fact,
tons of romance, yes a wedding an HEA ( maybe more then one depending on
whose counting) and nice set up for the next protectors book and even
the next Werewolf book I am guessing. Excellent job!
From the author of the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Hard Ink Series, comes a special announcement sure to excite readers everywhere! Don't miss what Laura Kaye has to say...
A Hard Ink Special Announcement from Laura Kaye!
As I celebrate the release last week of Hard to Let Go, the finale in my Hard Ink romantic suspense series, I’m super excited to share some more news about Hard Ink! I’m going to do another book in this series. And not just any book. I’m going to write a wedding novella for one of the couples in the series!! And I’m so flippin’ excited!!!
This is how this idea came about: I happened to see another author celebrating the release of a follow-up wedding book, and I’ve never written any follow-up stories about any of my characters—once they’ve gotten their happily ever afters in their original story, I just moved right on to the next couple. But that author’s book got me thinking about who I would even do a follow-up story on. Who is it that would get married? My initial thoughts went right to the Hard Ink series, of course, because I’ve been immersed in this world for the past two years and absolutely adore these characters. Seriously – I know many of us have joked about the title of the last book being apropos, and trust me when I say I’m feeling that, too. I want more Hard Ink myself.
And then I had to ask – which couple? My gut instinct was to say Nick and Becca. They started the series, have been together the longest, and the personal issues they each have and struggles they each face are less than some of the other characters. BUT…
But then my brain started to think about all the other couples. And as I thought through all of them, I could make a case why any of the Hard Ink couples might be the first to get married.
And that’s where YOU come in.
I can’t decide which couple to write.
I could make the argument for Nick and Becca for all the reasons above. I could make the argument that Shane would be eager to take care of Sara in every way he can. I could make the argument that Easy and Jenna’s bond would be so tight because of the hell Easy’s come through and him having saved Jenna’s life. Marz has never wanted anything more than a family, so I could see him being eager to make Emilie his forever. Jeremy and Charlie had the bond of best friends before becoming lovers, and I could see the two of them wanting to prove the depth of their love by committing to forever. And Kat so knocked Beckett on his ass that I could see him wanting to hold her tight and, well, never let go – and finally have a family that valued him.
So, yeah, I can’t decide!
Which means you guys get to.
For real.
I’m letting you pick.
Have you read and met all the Hard Ink couples yet? If not, now’s the time!
Eeep! Can you believe it? I’m nervous! And excited! And eeep!
Whoever wins, the book will be called Hard Ever After and will release January 19, 2016. How freaking awesome is that title, by the way? I’ve been giggling over it for months! *winks*

Growing up, Laura’s large extended family believed in the supernatural, and family lore involving angels, ghosts, and evil-eye curses cemented in Laura a life-long fascination with storytelling and all things paranormal. Five dishonored soldiers. Former Special Forces. One last mission. These are the men of Hard Ink.
Beckett
Murda hates to dwell on the past. But his investigation into the ambush
that killed half his Special Forces team and ended his Army career
gives him little choice. Just when his team learns how powerful their
enemies are, hard-ass Beckett encounters the biggest complication
yet—seductive, feisty Katherine Rixey.
A tough, stubborn
prosecutor, Kat visits her brothers’ Hard Ink Tattoo following a bad
break-up—and finds herself staring down the barrel of a stranger’s gun.
Beckett is hard-bodied and sexy as hell, but he’s also the most
infuriating man ever. Worse, Kat’s brothers are at war with criminals
her office is investigating. When Kat joins the fight, she lands
straight in Beckett’s sights—and his arms. Not to mention their enemies’
crosshairs.
Now Beckett and Kat must set aside their differences
to work together, because the only thing sweeter than justice is
finding love and never letting go.
My Thoughts on the Book
I am so sorry to see the
series end but so happy with how everything came together. This last
book in the series had all of the emotion and romance of the others but
with a lot more action and adventure to tie up the story. I could not
book the book down; ok once or twice I had no choice but my mind never
left the story. A few times I thought I had guessed what was going to
happen only to be wrong and very surprised by what did happen ( hence
the could not put down part) These men had been through so much
together and apart it was beautiful to see an ending that was worthy of
these men and what they represent.
We are so excited to bring you the Release Week Blitz for Laura Kaye's HARD TO LET GO! HARD TO LET GO is the 4th novel in Laura's Hard Ink Series, published by Avon Romance. Grab your copy of this sexy, suspenseful book today!!
EXCERPT:
Taking a deep breath, Beckett knocked on the door.
No answer.
He turned the knob, and the door opened.
“Go away,” came a strained voice.
Beckett poked his head through the opening. Kat sat in a ball in the corner, her legs pulled up to her chest, her arms hugging herself tight.
“Aw, Jesus, Beckett. Really?” Her face was splotchy and her eyes watery, though he didn’t see any tears.
Ten-to-one she was going through some adrenaline letdown right now, too. Which no doubt made it all worse. That shit could fuck you up even when you were used to how it left you feeling drained and shaky, by how all the stress you’d suppressed during the height of the crisis boomeranged twice over after the fact.
He came into the room, closed the door, and turned the lock for good measure. And then he crossed to Kat, scooped his arms under her knees and behind her back and lifted her up against him.
She smacked his chest. “Put me down.”
“No.” He moved to the edge of the bed.
“I don’t need this right now, Beckett. Put me down.”
“Yes, you do,” he said, sitting on the edge of the mattress. He pulled her face in against his throat and smoothed her hair back from her cheek. She trembled against him, just the littlest bit, her skin hot to the touch. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and hugged her tighter. “You did good, kid.”
Every one of her muscles went tight. Her hand fisted in his shirt. And her breath caught as she buried her face against his neck and shoulder.
Then Kat burst out crying.
And it was like being torn apart and put back together, all at once. He hated her pain, but he adored that she wasn’t hiding herself from him, and that she was letting him be there for her.
He didn’t shush her, or try to talk her down, or encourage her to dry her eyes. To be sure, her tears were like daggers in his heart—they hurt like fucking hell. But the only way she was going to feel better was to let this shit out. Ironic realization for him—he did actually see that. But just because you could see what was good for others didn’t mean you had the first goddamned idea how to apply those principles in your own life. And that was a problem for another time anyway.
What mattered right now was Kat. What mattered … was Kat.

I never planned on going back to Hung Island, Georgia. Ever.
I
was a top notch Were agent for the secret paranormal Council and
happily living in Chicago where I had everything I needed – a gym
membership, season tickets to the Cubs and Dwayne – my gay, Vampyre best
friend. Going back now would mean facing the reason I’d left and I’d
rather chew my own paw off than deal with Hank.
Hank the Tank
Wilson was the six foot three, obnoxious, egotistical, perfect-assed,
best-sex-of-my-life, Werewolf who cheated on me and broke my heart. At
the time, I did what any rational woman would do. I left in the middle
of the night with a suitcase, big plans and enough money for a one-way
bus ticket to freedom. I vowed to never return.
But here I am,
trying to wrap my head around what has happened to some missing Weres
without wrapping my body around Hank. I hope I don’t have to eat my
words and my paw.
***This novella originally appeared in the
Three Southern Beaches collection released July of 2014. This is an
extended version of that story.
My Thoughts on the Book
A
fun novella to start a series, it reminds me of Molly Harper books,
which I am a huge fan of. Fun characters, lots of snark and great
romance. I will be reading more of Robyn books very very soon. Like
tonight!
Chava is a golem, a
creature made of clay, brought to life by a disgraced rabbi who dabbles
in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master, the husband who commissioned
her, dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift
as the ship arrives in New York in 1899.
Ahmad is a jinni, a
being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian desert. Trapped in an old
copper flask by a Bedouin wizard centuries ago, he is released
accidentally by a tinsmith in a Lower Manhattan shop. Though he is no
longer imprisoned, Ahmad is not entirely free – an unbreakable band of
iron binds him to the physical world.
The Golem and the Jinni
is their magical, unforgettable story; unlikely friends whose tenuous
attachment challenges their opposing natures – until the night a
terrifying incident drives them back into their separate worlds. But a
powerful threat will soon bring Chava and Ahmad together again,
challenging their existence and forcing them to make a fateful choice.
My Thoughts on the Book
I
have been meaning to read this book for a long time, it has gotten a
lot of praise and sounded like an interesting read. This is a fantasy
and it is also a book about friendship as well as a very interesting
take a peoples first impression of coming to America in the 1900s.I
found myself really understanding and immersed in the time period
perfectly. It was not what I expected at all but still I could not put
it down either, it is a beautifully written and executed story.
The Guardians
of Eternity are facing a final battle to save their world—but battles of
the heart may be the most difficult to fight…
Cyn, the
vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is
surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It’s no wonder
he’s furious when he’s transported from the magical land of the
pureblooded feys to his desolate private lair—only to have his very
existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of…
Most
women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted
fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire.
She’s a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he
plays—especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the
veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most
powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair
even as worlds are colliding around them…
My Thoughts on the Book
Thank you Netgalley for a chance to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This is the first book I have read by this author which is really sad because I really enjoyed this book. While being the end of a series it read enough like a stand alone that I did not mind. I am quite sure I would have loved it even more if I had read the other books as I know there were some inside jokes that I did not get to enjoy as much as others that have followed this series. I will be be fixing that issue soon and adding the rest of her titles to my reading list very soon.
