Diety Blog Tour

"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "

Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

This Girl

15784909There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

My Thoughts on the Book

Collen Hoover will forever be on my auto buy list. She can make a book that is just a change of POV into a whole new story. This story is again from Will's POV and mostly about the first few months of knowing Lake. While there is some rehashing of everything from Slammed and some parts I skimmed because of this, this is still not a book to pass on. The new perspective Colleen gives to this story is wonderful and we not only get new scenes from Will that we don't have in Slammed we gain a lot more information too about Will and a few other favorite characters. 4.5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Point of Retreat

13496084Hardships and heartache brought them together…now it will tear them apart.

Layken and Will have proved their love can get them through anything; until someone from Will’s past re-emerges, leaving Layken questioning the very foundation on which their relationship was built. Will is forced to face the ultimate challenge…how to prove his love for a girl who refuses to stop ‘carving pumpkins.’

My Thoughts on the Book

I don't know how Collen Hoover does it but she is just beyond amazing with her story telling. Her books are always so much more then you think they will be. I am amazed every time. This is Will and Layken's story as a couple and as a family as unusual as it is. It is perfect, it messed up, it is sweet,it sucks, it is heart breaking and I loved every single word on every single page. I will never be able to look at butterflies or pumpkins the same way again but that is a very good thing. Thank you.

Trust in Me

17860217It’s Wait for You as you’ve never seen it. Trust in Me lets you in on Cam’s side of the #1 New York Times Bestselling story.

Cameron Hamilton is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to women. But when Avery Morgansten comes crashing into his life – literally – he finally meets the one person who can resist his soulful baby blues. But Cam’s not ready to give up. He can’t get the feisty and intriguing girl out of his head.

Avery has secrets, secrets that keep her from admitting the feelings Cam knows she has for him. Will persistence (and some delicious homemade cookies) help him break down her barriers and gain her trust? Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?

My Thoughts on the Book

I loved Wait for Me and can read it again and again, Trust in Me is no exception. Trust in Me is in Cam's point of view and while it does not add a whole lot more to the story it is still just as sweet, charming and heart warming as Wait for Me. You will fall in love with Cam all over again. 4.5 stars

Slammed....Why Did I Wait!?????

13372690Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.

Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.

Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

My thoughts on the Book

Why Did I wait???? If Colleen Hoover was not on your auto buy after Hopeless/ Losing Hope she will be after Slammed! This book was amazing and just like Finding Cinderella there is a twist that changes everything and Colleen is great and giving us twists that we do not expect and I love that! This books is sweet, charming and heart wrenching and I loved every minute of it. I also "read" this book as an audio book which I rarely do, I like to "reread" books I love in audio but I usually find it hard to follow first reads books in audio, this is a happy exception. The books has slam poetry in it and listening to it really makes it come to life and makes the impact of the book on you even greater. But even if you don't like audio books this is a book everyone should read!

Finding It

16172638Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find where you truly belong...

Most girls would kill to spend months traveling around Europe after college graduation with no responsibility, no parents, and no-limit credit cards. Kelsey Summers is no exception. She's having the time of her life . . . or that's what she keeps telling herself.

It's a lonely business trying to find out who you are, especially when you're afraid you won't like what you discover. No amount of drinking or dancing can chase away Kelsey's loneliness, but maybe Jackson Hunt can. After a few chance meetings, he convinces her to take a journey of adventure instead of alcohol. With each new city and experience, Kelsey's mind becomes a little clearer and her heart a little less hers. Jackson helps her unravel her own dreams and desires. But the more she learns about herself, the more Kelsey realizes how little she knows about Jackson.

My Thoughts on the Book

I really did enjoy this book but at the same time it left me a bit flat. This story was very different from Losing It and Faking It and I was really in the mood for a story like those. While the story has some funny parts it is clearly a more emotional story then the first two and while I am fine with that usually it did not work for me as well as it has with other stories. I loved Hunt but I figured out his secret early on although I was hoping I was wrong ( I wasn't) I liked Kelsey but I did not connect with her as much as I wanted to. I loved what Hunt did in the end but I still wanted a better, more polished ending for them both. I still love Cora's writing and will continue to read and recommend her books. I am looking forward to Hunt's story in January!

18593175 This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series, but can be read as a standalone

A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don’t happen outside of fairytales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretended to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two loves of his life end up being one in the same.

Unfortunately for Daniel, finding Cinderella doesn’t guarantee their happily ever after…it only further threatens it.

My Thoughts on the Book

This book was simply wonderful, it had me laughing out load ( glad I was alone) and then shocked by a twist one second later. I loved how it ended. I still want a full story sequel taking place about ten years later that involves a trip to Italy. just say'n

While patrolling San Francisco for evil vampires, Eddie kisses Thomas as a diversionary tactic and is shaken to the core by his reaction. He's terrified of his sexual attraction to his mentor and afraid that moving forward and giving into his desires will destroy the relationship they have.

When hurt and disappointment about Eddie's inability to commit leads Thomas onto a dark path that spells destruction for all those he loves, only Eddie can pull him back from the brink of eternal darkness. But does Eddie have the courage to face his true feelings in time to save the man who's meant for him?

My Thoughts on the Book

Tina has created a wonderful Vampire world and this book is a great addition to the series. This is Thomas's and Eddie's story and she does a wonderful job bringing all of the other characters in that we love. This is the perfect balance of romance, sexy love scenes and action/adventure. This is the 8th book in the series and you do not have them read in order but I think they should. If you have not read Samson's Lovely Mortal ( Scanguard's #1) I highly recommend it, but the first line of the book may turn some people off, it almost did for me but I am glad I kept reading, a bit steamier them I usually read but all of her stories are just wonderful.

In book two of her breathtakingly magical series, Abigail Gibbs draws us even further into the dangerous and romantic world of the Dark Heroines.

Autumn Rose lives in a sleepy seaside town in the southwest of England, but buried deep under the surface of her quiet life are dark secrets. Her grandmother is dead, murdered eighteen months before, and the whirling social scene of London in which she was brought up is a world away. Even worse, at her new school she is shunned and condemned-all because of the swirling marks on her skin that prevent her from blending in the crowd.

But the appearance of a handsome young man at her school-who has the same curious markings as Autumn Rose-sends her world into turmoil. Suddenly the marks are cool and Autumn is thrust into the limelight, but her sudden popularity brings danger as her secrets threaten to come to light. Plus, there is the fact that Autumn keeps dreaming of a human girl who is about to be seduced by a very dark Prince… and Autumn must figure out how to save her before it is too late.

Abigail Gibbs was born and raised in deepest, darkest Devon, England. She is studying for a B.A. in English at the University of Oxford and considers herself a professional student, as the real world has yet to catch up with her. Her greatest fear is blood and she is a great advocate of vegetarianism, which logically led to the writing of her first novel, Dinner with a Vampire. She splits her time between her studies, stories, and family, and uses coffee to survive all three.

And Cami can't stop thinking about him. Talking to him. Wanting to kiss him. He's got her seriously stirred up. Her senior year has just gotten a lot more complicated…

My Thoughts on the Book

4.5 stars This is a debut novel for Sabrina Elkins and it was delicious. It is a very sweet story about healing emotionally and physically and of finding yourself as well as a very yummy love story. The characters are great and I seem to always love books where the characters start off hating each other ( or at least we think so) Julian helps Cami and Cami helps Julian and we are hungry for more the entire book. In certain parts of the book I craved more emotional confessions but over all it was done really well. I will be following Sabrina and putting in an order for her next book.
