Review: Magic Strikes

Magic Strikes Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I will be honest it has taken me a while to warm to this series and it is all on me. The characters have been great from the beginning strong, snarky and fun but I don't enjoy dystopian stories much and the first 2 books were a bit too dystopian for me but now that the world has been built and I can sit back and enjoy ( love ) the story. This is a wonderful urban fantasy series with more great books to come.

Review: Dirty Exes

Dirty Exes Dirty Exes by Rachel Van Dyken
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really really liked this book! Lots of fun snark, smart characters and the drama was fun but not crazy. I loved everyone ( except Vanessa of course) and was routing for everyone too. Can't wait for the next book so they all have their HEA!

Review: Claiming Jade

Claiming Jade Claiming Jade by Teresa Gabelman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and I hope it will be part of a series but I wanted more ( please take that as a compliment) I wanted more world building, more background on the paranormals and how then fit into "our world" I would love a prequel novella to answer some of the questions and I hope this book becomes part of a series.

Review: In Bed with the Beast

In Bed with the Beast In Bed with the Beast by Tara Sivec
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a really cute and interesting spin on the Beauty and the Beast tale. Belle is a sweet heart and the "beast" is anything but. It is funny and sweet and a little bit sexy too. Tara's books are always a fun read and this one does not disappoint. And as always there are a few laugh out loud moments too!

Review: Too Wilde to Wed

Too Wilde to Wed Too Wilde to Wed by Eloisa James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have to say I enjoyed this story much more then the first book in this series. I found the character in the first book fun but I did not find them as believable. I especially did not like North or Diana then but now I know why! We were not seeing the real people then and once we did they were better then I could have expected. It is a sweet read with a lot a heart.

Review: The Legend of the Bloodstone

The Legend of the Bloodstone The Legend of the Bloodstone by E.B. Brown
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars It is a good story very fast based but I never quite connected with the characters until closer to the end of the book. I think I would have liked it more if I know more about Maggie in the real time either before the Time Walked or during her time back. But I did enjoy it and I will read more by E.B. Brown in the future.

Review: Ain't She a Peach?

Ain't She a Peach? Ain't She a Peach? by Molly Harper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have not laughed so hard in a while and I am a regular reader of Molly Harpers books. This book is sweet and charming and you will have a smile while reading but there are a few parts that are full on laugh out loud funny!

Review: Laird of the Black Isle

Laird of the Black Isle Laird of the Black Isle by Paula Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was wonderful to be back in Paula Quinn's world again. This book was everything I wanted for this fabulous extended family and the fact that it has some Beauty and the Beast elements to it, intended or not made it that much sweeter.

Review: Counting on a Countess

Counting on a Countess Counting on a Countess by Eva Leigh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have always loved Eva Leigh/Zoe Archer books and this one is no exception. Strong Women and supporting Men make a great romance in any time period. While this is a London Underground book I'm pretty sure there is crossover with the Wicked Quills of London Series too and I was very happy to see that too!

Review: Sinner

Sinner Sinner by Sierra Simone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first Sierra Simone book and it will not be my last. This book was incredible, I was expecting a "bad boy" turned good book and I was not wrong but it was so much more. Sean has some very good and deep reason for being how he is but to follow his journey to get to a good place in his life is one of the most beautiful things I have seen written in a long time. Is the book sexy? Is it steamy? Does it push some boundaries? Yes it does; but is does it all in a beautiful and thought provoking way.

Review: On Hart’s Boardwalk

On Hart’s Boardwalk On Hart’s Boardwalk by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this story and it was a simply wonderful crossover. I will say the Prologue had me worried and as a none spoiler, spoiler; relax it will be ok. Samantha has never let us down and she did not this time. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer but that is really a compliment! Enjoy.
