What happens when a girl who always calls the shots meets a guy who's too wild for even her?
A
born flirt and good-time party girl, Emerson has never had a problem
finding a willing guy. She's always chosen her hookups carefully, and
she's never broken her three cardinal rules:
Never let them see the real you.
Never fall in love.
Always leave them begging for more.
Then
Shaw comes along. A hottie from the wrong side of the tracks, he's
immune to her flirtatious banter and come-hither smile. After rescuing
her from a disastrous night at a biker bar, he doesn't even try to take
her to bed—he calls her a tease and sends her home instead. Unable to
resist a challenge, or forget the sexy, dark-eyed, bad-boy biker, she
vows to bring him to his knees.
But instead of making Shaw beg,
Emerson finds herself craving him. For the first time in her life, she's
throwing out her rule book. Suddenly, she's the one panting for a guy
she can't control—a guy who won't settle for anything less than the real
Emerson and who forces her to do things she's never imagined, including
facing a past she thought she'd buried.
A guy who just might leave her wanting more. . . .
My Thoughts on the Book
Tease is another great book
by Sophie Jordan. I think a lot of us will be fighting over Shaw. Shaw
is a take charge, take no prisoners kind of guy and I loved every minute
of it. Emerson pretends to be the same but in reality it is just a
shield and Shaw see right through it. Emerson does not know what to do
with her feeling for Shaw when she swore she would never have real
feeling for a guy. It is a joy to watch Emerson come out of her secret
shell and it is just a joy to watch Shaw pull her out.

The Witch of Belladonna Bay
It’s the trouble you aren’t expecting that gets you. And it’s all around you, Bronwyn, it’s all around you like the air.…Bronwyn
"BitsyWyn" Whalen hasn’t set eyes on the red dirt of Magnolia Creek,
Alabama, for fourteen years—not since her mama died. But with her
brother, Patrick, imprisoned for the murder of her childhood best
friend, and her eccentric father, Jackson, at his wits’ end while her
eleven-year-old niece, Byrd, runs wild, Bronwyn finds herself once again
surrounded by ancient magnolia trees and the troubled family she left
behind. She becomes immersed in a whirlwind of mystery and magic as she
tries to figure out what really happened that fateful night her friend
died. And as her bond with Byrd deepens, Bronwyn must face the
demons of her past in order to unravel her family’s uncertain future. In
Suzanne Palmieri's thrilling new novel, The Witch of Belladonna Bay, readers will learn if love and magic are enough to bring a broken family back together.
My Thoughts on the Book
This is another beautifully written book by Suzanne Palmieri. She does a wonderful job of unfolding the story is such a way that you are surprised and touched all at the same time. Many times during the story we are just as confused by what is going on as Wyn is but in a way that makes of feel for Wyn's guilt for being away for so long. All of the characters have pasts that they need to come to terms with, some more then others and who to trust and who to love is all part of the mystery. This is a stand alone novel but weaves people and history from The Witch of Little Italy which makes this book that much more charming.

Tempting The Bodyguard
He can protect her from everyone except himself.
Alana Gore is in danger. A take-no-prisoners publicist, her way with people has made her more than a few enemies over the years, but a creepy stalker is an entirely different matter. She needs a bodyguard, and the only man she can ask is not only ridiculously hot, but reputed to have taste for women that goes beyond adventurous.
Chandler Gamble has one rule: don't protect anyone you want to screw. But with Alana, he's caught between his job and his increasingly hard libido. On one hand, Alana needs his help. On the other, Chandler wants nothing more than to take the hot volcano of a woman in hand. To make her writhe in pleasure, until she's at his complete mercy.
She needs protection. He needs satisfaction. And the moment the line is crossed, all hell will break loose...
My Thoughts on the Book
This is Chandler's story and I think it is my favorite. While I love it when a rouge falls and Chad was a rouge. I love it just as much when a man knows what he wants and goes for it the right way but with attitude and Chandler has attitude in spades. Alana needs his help but also needs him and it was great to see her rigid nature collapse with Chandler's help. Another wonderful story by J.Lynn ( Jennifer Armentrout) as always.

All Lined Up
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.
But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.
Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.
Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.
And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.
My Thoughts on the Book
This is a latest book by Cora Carmack and just like the others it is charming, sweet and has just the right amount of humor. Dallas is a freshman in college, where her protective father is the new football coach, Carson is a transfer student hoping to get a spot on the team and a scholarship so he can afford to finish college. The last thing Dallas wants is to date a football player but when she falls into Carson arms fate seems to have other plans. This a a wonderful start to a series that is about finding your place in the world, growing up and finding love. Looking forward to the rest of the series too!

Entice
“As burns this saint, so burns my soul. I enter alive, and I will have to get out dead.”
Chase Winter let the love of his life slip through his fingers and into the hands of his best friend and mafia boss of the Abandanato family. Now that he's been given a second chance to right a wrong--he refuses to let his own selfishness stand in the way. The only problem? He's not fully in possession of his heart, so when Mil De Lange, the girl who's innocence he stole, and heir to the worst of the worst mafia families in the US, asks him for a favor. He actually says yes, not realizing that that one yes has the power to destroy them all.
Mil's been in love with Chase as long as she can remember, but as the years went by, the love turned to hate, and now that he's agreed to help her, she's wondering if she made a fatal error. Because Chase isn't a teenager anymore. He's a hot blooded male, bent on owning every part of her body and soul, and willing to kill anyone in his path who dares stand in the way.
It's time for secrets to finally be revealed...but make no mistake, it's going to take a lot of bloodshed for those truths to be discovered.
You've never read a New Adult Mafia story like this before...loyalties will be tested, lovers reunited, and friendships obliterated. Welcome to the Family. Blood in--No out.
My Thoughts on the Book
This series is so fast pace it is crazy at times, and crazy in a good way! This is Chase's story but we get a good bit of Nixon, Trace, Tex and Mo too. The story alternate POVs through out the book and while sometimes I find this confusing it was not in this case. The main POVs are Chase and Mils but we get to enjoy few from Nixon and Tex as well. Chase is still nursing a broken heart from losing Trace to Nixon but still loves Nixon like an brother and would love to love Trace. Chase is marrying Mil to protect her but also to protect himself. Who knew an obligation could become a reward, this is if they all don't get themselves killed first!

London Falling Net Galley Review
We weren't a relationship, we were a ticking time bomb...
Maggie Carpenter walked away from the hottest encounter of her life when she left the seductive glitz of England for summer break in her South Carolina hometown. Now that she’s returned to the International School in London—and sexy, privileged Samir Khouri is once again close enough to touch—she can’t help but remember the attraction, the drama … the heartbreak.
She can’t help but want him even more.
Samir can’t afford to fall for someone so far removed from his world, not when his time in London is running out. It's his senior year—his last chance at freedom before he returns home to Lebanon. There, he’ll be expected to follow in his father’s footsteps—not follow his heart to Maggie. But when a scorching secret hookup becomes a temptation neither can resist, they’ll both have to fight to survive the consequences … and find a future together.
My Thoughts on the Book
Thank you Net Galley for a chance to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
This book was everything I wanted the first book to be and more. While I enjoyed the first book, it was clearly a set up for the second and left me rather flat when it ended and even before because the chemistry between Maggie and Samir was clearly there but not developed enough for me to really love either character. London Falling does everything I See London did not for me. The characters are wonderful and you clearly see how good of a guy Samir is behind his rich, cocky exterior. Both are battling doing what is right while clearly falling in love. The emotion was there and I loved every page of it.
Available July 7th

Nash
Will their past determine their future?
Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down... and now he’s trying to do it again.
Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?
My Thoughts on the Book
My rule is that any book that can brings me to happy tears will always get 5 stars. Nash is no exception to this rule and I may have loved Nash more then Rule (maybe). Nash is a good guy that has been through a lot but always had his uncle and his friends by his side. When he learns that his uncle is dieing and really his Father it throws his life in a direction that he did not expect. Nash meets Saint, a girl from high school that he always liked but some how hurt her back then. He has to teach her to trust him and himself while he lets go of some of his past as well. This a a beautiful story and I truly love the Marked Men.

It’s time.
Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.
My Thoughts on the Book
Bittersweet but still perfect. This is the final book in the sweet evil series and it is sad to see it end but Wendy finished the series beautifully. There are some sad and some happy parts in this final book. Was it an HEA? For some it was, for others not so much but as fellow author Jennifer Armentrout likes to say HEAs have to be earned and this one was well earned and came from love. Thank you Wendy for a great series!
