Hopeless and Losing Hope

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

My thoughts on HOPELESS:

This book was amazing, heart wrenching, charming, made me laugh at times and cry for the characters at others. Not what I expected from a YA book at all but so worth every word.  Some books you want to read fast because it is so good and others you want to read slow so you can soak in every word and every feeling that is portrayed.  This a a book to read slow even though I could not put it down; I could not skim an single word either.  Simply amazing.

My thoughts on LOSING HOPE:

You know you have read a good book when you can not get it out of your head and you don't want to, that  was very much the case with HOPELESS. I want not ready to leave their world even if a good part of it was heart wrenching.   LOSING HOPE is HOPELESS from Holder's POV and usually when I hear that I am turned off as it seems like just a way for the author to sell the same book again.  That is not the case with this book.  In HOPELESS we learn that both SKY and HOLDER have a have a lot of baggage, SKY has some she does not even know about at first but HOLDER, OMG is you loved him in HOPELESS you will adore him LOSING HOPE.  You will feel hs pain and his bravery in every word. Simply Incredible.

Frigid

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn’t anything new. They’d been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the ‘man’ in man-whore. He’s never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn’t want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she’s perfect and she’s everything. But the feelings he has for her, he’s always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they’re stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor’easter, there’s nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.
